Exploring Plants in Kindergarten

We will be exploring plants for the letter Pp.  We will be following the task in the powerpoint below during class as a whole.  You will share your thought from our adventures each day on planting seeds and trees.  Let others know just what you learned from your experiment. Then we will all come back here when our project is complete and share our final and favorite thoughts.  Enjoy the adventure.

Expolring Plants

Working hard in the garden is what we do best.  Look what comes from our hard work and rest...

A tree we planted to help clean our air, our class decided to plant a pair.

What did you like best from our projects?  What other ways can you help our community?

Introduction:

This Webpage was designed for kindergarten students and upcoming kindergarten students. It is a fun and interactive way to learn letters and sounds. Learning letters is an important skill that is needed to help them learn to read. There are several interactive task and games that will help increase letter recognition. Your child/student will need your assistance on some of these links but they will have a lot of fun and enjoy their journey on an Amazing Alphabet Adventures.

Students when you have completed your journey you should be able to do the following:

1. I can name all the letters in the alphabet: capitals and lowercase.
2. I can match all consonant and short-vowel sounds to appropriate letters.
3. I can blend vowel-consonant sounds orally to make words.
4. I can distinguish letters from words.

Your Tasks:

You are on an amazing world adventure to find all the letters of the alphabet and their amazing sounds. Start at the beginning and make your way through the adventure to discover how amazing letters can be and how important they are in your reading journey.

When you get to the learning planet click on the green arrow to begin the game. Once the game begins use your mouse to pick the letter you want to begin with, but make sure you go through each letter.
